Pregnancy Journal

August 11th, 2008 · No Comments

A Pregnancy Journal is like a time capsule. Today, you put in thoughts and ideas that seem quite ordinary and mundane. But in five years’ time, you will take out precious memories. You will look at the pregnancy journal laugh at your worries (ten fingers? ten toes?) and you won’t believe that you wanted to call your son Audrey or Jacqui (back in the days when you thought he was a she).

Pregnancy Diaries on Kidspot have a secure login facility, so you can keep your thoughts totally private. They also have a share function if you want to share it with your partner, sister or girlfriends. So start writing! It doesn’t have to be long: sometimes a word is worth… well, a thousand words. Here is an excerpt from my own pregnancy journal to inspire you:8th week: Morning sickness!!! Fruit and cottage cheese are becoming my staple diet. I can't stand the thought of chocolate.

11th week: It’s time to socialise: see people, go to movies, organise bridge. The more I sit around, the more apathetic I feel. I can't even go for normal-length walks - I get dizzy.

13th week: Had a scan, everything ok, but I can see nothing in the grey jelly. I think I’ll call him/her Jellyfish.

16th week: I think I felt the baby move - very gently, like champagne bubbles.

Your turn! Go to Kidspot’s Pregnancy Journal.
