Morning Sickness

October 30th, 2008 · No Comments

Don’t be misled by the name: morning sickness can occur in the middle of the day or in the evening. Although usual in the first trimester, it can skip you altogether or occur later on in the pregnancy.

Doctors aren’t sure what causes morning sickness. They suggest small regular meals, low-acidity diet and getting your sugar levels up before you get out of bed (this includes staying in bed until you are fully awake and having a healthy snack before you get up).

Your local pharmacy or health shop will have natural remedies such as ginger pills or sea-motion wrist bands that can help with morning sickness and are safe for pregnant women. When pregnant, it is important to regard all medicines as potentially unsafe until verified.

Even though it may seem like forever, before you know it, you will have moved onto a different stage of your pregnancy. When you have a moment, remember to visit Kidspot Social and talk to other future mums. Networking becomes invaluable once the baby comes, so start cultivating the friendships now.
