If your pre-children Christmas decorations suddenly look too fragile for excited little hands, don’t despair. You can create your own Christmas decorations… and you can even let the little hands help you from time to time.
Here is a list of child-safe, child-proof decorations you can try to make during your next coffee group meeting:
· A Christmas star.
· A Christmas angel.
· Marbled shapes for your tree - get your toddler to help.
· Cardboard baubles even a preschooler can make.
· Look through the photos of the kids that haven’t quite achieved the photo-album grade. Punch a hole in a few chosen ones and tie onto the Christmas tree.
· The weather is too warm for a traditional Yule log, but here is an awesome idea for a truly Aussie Yule log.
You can also decorate your house with all the Christmas cards you receive: put them up on a shelf, string them across the room or hang them on your Christmas tree.
To get into the Christmas spirit, make a cup of cinnamon-and-orange-peel tea, put your feet up and visit Kidspot Social - it’s where parents meet online.
